The Historical Jeddah Tour takes you on a journey through the ancient heart of one of Saudi Arabia’s most iconic cities. Known as "Al-Balad," Historical Jeddah is a UNESCO World Heritage site that showcases the city’s rich past as a major port and gateway to the Islamic world. Wandering through its narrow alleyways, you’ll discover beautifully preserved coral-stone houses, traditional souks, and historic mosques that reflect Jeddah’s centuries-old architecture and vibrant trading legacy. You’ll be met by your tour leader/driver at your hotel and be transported to the old downtown area of Jeddah (Al-Balad) also known as the ‘Old Town’, home to traditional buildings, restaurants, and souks. This will be a walking tour, taking you to some impressive local attractions including Beit Nassif, the Makkah gate, the Historical Jeddah north gate, and other stunning historical houses.
You’ll then visit the famed Al Tayebat International City Museum which allows an insight into the art, culture, history, and architecture of Saudi and other Islamic countries. Afterwards, look forward to exploring the New Jeddah Corniche, a coastal area along the Red Sea. This tour ends with a special visit to the Al Rahma Mosque, aka the Floating Mosque, which sits on the Red Sea.
