Day 1: Tel Aviv
Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to a hotel for an overnight stay. Tel Aviv is the cultural, commercial and food capital of Israel and a stunning city offering a unique blend of cosmopolitan appeal and ancient charm. Overnight stay in Tel Aviv.
Day 2: Tel Aviv - Caesarea – Megiddo - Tiberias
Your first full day in Tel Aviv will begin with a walking tour of Tel Aviv’s old town. You’ll then enjoy a drive along the coast to the stunning Caesarea National Park to explore archaeological ruins and then on to Megiddo, an ancient city that has been continuously inhabited for over 5,000 years. After you’ll head to the holy city of Tiberias for an overnight stay. Breakfast
Day 3: Tiberias - Sea of Galilee - Tiberias
After departing Tiberias, the land where Jesus once lived, you’ll start a journey to Capernaum which is the centre of Jesus ministry and then on to Tabgha, which is Christ’s miraculous ‘Feeding of the 5,000’ site and place of the famous Church of Multiplication. Afterwards, your journey will continue on to the Mount of Beatitudes, which is believed to be where Jesus preached and selected his 12 Apostles. You’ll then be ascending the Golan Heights to witness some amazing views of mountain peaks and Hula Valley. Overnight stay in Tiberias. Breakfast
Day 4: Tiberias – Cana - Nazareth - Beit Shean – Jerusalem
You’ll continue your tour on to Cana to explore the famous Wedding Church where Jesus believed to have turned water into wine. You’ll then head on to Nazareth, the childhood place of Jesus to visit the Church of Annunciation, which is believed to have been built on the site where the Archangel Gabriel was spotted by Virgin Mary. You’ll also witness St. Joseph’s Church and Mary’s Well. Afterwards there is a drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean, a preserved Roman City. Overnight stay in Jerusalem. Breakfast
Day 5: Jerusalem - Dead Sea – Jerusalem
Day 5 includes a journey to the famous Dead Sea, and en route you’ll be visiting the Qumran Caves, which is where the initial Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and the Masada fort in the Judean Desert; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy an ascend to this ancient fortress via a cable car, visit a synagogue, excavations and King Herod’s Palace and enjoy stunning views of the Dead Sea. Afterwards you can take a dip in the Dead Sea, which has salty, mineral rich waters said to have healing properties. Overnight stay in Jerusalem. Breakfast
Day 6: Jerusalem
Day 6 will start with a visit to the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum and the Holyland Model of Jerusalem. You’ll also be visiting the scenic Ein Karem village, which is the birthplace of John the Baptist, and Yad Vashem, which is the memorial of victims killed in the Holocaust. Finally, you’ll continue to the birthplace of Jesus, Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. Overnight stay in Jerusalem. Breakfast
Day 7: Jerusalem
Look forward to entering the Jewish Quarter, Western Wall, local bazaars and the Temple area via one of the gates of Jerusalem’s Old City. You’ll take a stroll along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross and end your tour at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The afternoon includes a drive to Mount Zion where you’ll visit the famous room of the last supper and the tomb of King David, and enjoy amazing views of the city from the mountain peak. Afterwards you’ll continue on to the Garden of Gethsemane, which is where Judas supposedly betrayed Jesus. Overnight stay in Jerusalem. Breakfast
Day 8: Jerusalem – Tel Aviv – End of Itinerary
You’ll transfer to Tel Aviv airport for your flight back to the UK, or alternatively you can extend your trip with a visit to the charming city of Jordan.
