Ashura is an emotional occasion and every mourner wants to spend this day in Karbala. With this special 11 days Ashura Package, you’ll be able to complete Ziyarat of Najaf, Karbala, Samara and Kadhmain, participate in Ashura ceremonies in Karbala and visit the important Islamic sites. The package includes flights, transfers, meals and accommodation in luxurious 4-star hotels.
Day 1 (25th July): Arrive at the Najaf airport, meet our company representative and take a transfer to Karbala. Check in at the hotel, relax and spend your time at leisure. Overnight stay in Karbala.
The journey from Najaf airport to Karbala is approximately 1 hour.
Day 2 (26th July): After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussain and his brother Imam Abbas – pay your respects, perform Ziyarat and later return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 (27th July): Today after breakfast, you’ll be visiting the battle ground of Karbala. You will enjoy time to pray and pay your respects. Later return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 (28th July): Today is the Day of Ashura, participate in the Ashura ceremonies. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5 (29th July): After breakfast, visit important Islamic sites outside Karbala and learn about the historical facts related to these places. Return to your hotel after a full day of explorations for your overnight stay.
Day 6 (30th July): Free day to explore Karbala and grand bazaar. Overnight stay in Karbala.
Day 7 (31st July): After breakfast depart to Najaf via Kadhmain and Samara. Kadhmain is one of the oldest cities in Iraq located in the north of Baghdad. Visit the holy shrines of two imams of the Prophet’s (pbuh) household - Imam Musa Al Kadhim and Imam Mohammed Jawad. Later, drive to Najaf and check in your hotel for the overnight stay. The journey from Karbala to Kadhmain-Samara-Najaf will take approximately 8 hours.
Day 8 (1st Aug): After breakfast, visit the holy shrine of Imam Ali and spend your time praying in the shrine. Return to hotel for night stay.
Day 9 (2nd Aug): After breakfast depart for Kufa to visit the grand Kufa Mosque and other places in and around Kufa. Return to hotel for night stay.
Kufa is 10 km from Najaf
Day 10 (3rd Aug): The day is free for exploring Najaf.
Day 11 (4th Aug): After breakfast, drive to the airport for your return flight back home.
Hotel Qasr-e-Dour is 30 minutes' drive to Najaf Airport.
