An Abha Historical Tour offers an immersive experience into the cultural heart of Saudi Arabia's Asir region, known for its stunning landscapes and deep-rooted traditions. You’ll be met by your tour leader/driver who will transport you to Jabal Sawda to begin your tour. Jabal Sawda is the highest point in Saudi Arabia, situated around 3000m above sea level. You can purchase a ticket for a cable car up Jabal Sawda, with lots of panoramic vistas to admire on the way. You’ll then visit the Al Sahab Park, a pretty park situated atop a mountain. There’s an option to dine at Al Sahab Park for lunch.
You’ll then visit the mud-walled Shada Castle, a handicrafts museum and one of the few remaining traditional structures in Abha, offering an insight into the Saudi heritage. Afterwards you’ll be driven to the Al-Muftaha village where you can do some souvenir shopping and admire sites built with mud and stone. You’ll then be taken to the Green Mountain before being transported back to your hotel.
